About
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional experienced in working with adults, adolescents, and families on a wide range of issues. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Carleton College and my Masters degrees in Social Work and Women's & Gender Studies from Loyola University Chicago. Before opening my private practice, I was a therapist at Alternatives, Inc., a youth development organization in Uptown that serves teens, young adults, and their families. In that role, I provided therapy and alcohol/substance abuse treatment in the office, as well as at Northside College Prep and Sullivan High School. Prior to joining Alternatives, I completed two clinical internships, including one at the Center on Halsted, where I participated in the Chicago LGBT Behavioral Health Training Consortium with Howard Brown Health Center and Chicago Lakeshore Hospital's Valeo program.
I also worked for 17 years in a variety of direct service and management roles in financial stability, education, immigration, and policy and advocacy. Through this work, I received specialized training in financial coaching and in working with people experiencing intimate partner abuse or returning from incarceration.
